WHAT: Portland’s Largest 5k Fun Run
Join an estimated 3,000 runners for the 32nd Anniversary of the Starlight Run, a 5k (3.1 mile) run that travels the Portland Rose Festival’s Starlight Parade route in front of more than 150,000 spectators. In the last 30 years, more than 90,000 runners have covered more than 315,000 miles of fun in this official Portland Rose Festival event!
WHEN: Starlight Parade Night, Saturday, May 30
The KeyBank Starlight Run will begin promptly at 8:00 pm, Saturday evening May 30th. The event is open to runners of all ages and abilities. Walking the route is not permitted.
WHERE: Downtown Portland
The event starts and finishes at the Lincoln High School track, SW 16th and Jefferson.
SOUVENIR T-SHIRT
Starlight Run T-shirts are available for $13.00. Supplies are limited. Early registration is encouraged to assist in getting the size you want.
FINISH LINE
Plenty of refreshments await you at the finish line. Clothes check will be available at the Lincoln field.
TRANSPORTATION
It ís parade night, so traffic will be busy in downtown Portland. Plan on carpooling to the run, or taking MAX Light Rail or TriMet downtown. Schedules may change on this special evening. Call TriMet at 503.238.RIDE or go to www.trimet.org for specific schedule information.
IMPORTANT
Please be courteous to the parade participants and spectators. Contact with parade spectators is not allowed. Please do not run back along the parade route to join your friends and family. The Portland Police Traffic Division must clear the parade route promptly following the run. Runners proceeding the wrong way may be removed from the route.
RULES
Please help us have a safe event. Wearing headphones is discouraged. Bicycles, dogs, skateboards, baby joggers, strollers, and in-line and roller skates are prohibited. Runners or joggers only. This is NOT a walking event.
